Licence, permit and the river

The river

Fish the River Nevern for trout, sewin (sea trout) and salmon.

Your licence

You’ll need an Environment Agency rod licence (from the Post Office or online). Sewin and salmon need a different licence from trout.

Our permit

Show your licence to manor staff and we’ll issue a free fishing permit for guests staying on the park, plus the river rules for Llwyngwair.

Lake fishing

Ask at reception if you’d like to fish the park lake as well as the river.

By the river on the estate

On the estate

Water, woodland and walks

The Nevern bounds the estate — a quiet stretch for a morning on the bank, then back to the manor for a meal by the fire. Walks from the door follow the river and lanes around Newport.

Ready to fish?

Bring a valid rod licence — we’ll sort your free guest permit at the manor.
